It is always a pleasure to visit BERETTA in London.  The staff are incredibly friendly and General Manager Peter Holden is an incredible retail merchandiser.  The Gallery on St. James Street is incredibly beautiful.  I am so pleased that they have embraced my work.  If you are in London, you must stop be the Gallery!

Here is a collaboration statement by General Manager, Peter Holden:

BERETTA: A Collaboration with Jan Perkins

BERETTA- a global company steeped in tradition, craftsmanship and quality with nearly 500 years of experience decided to endorse the renowned American digital painter, Jan Perkins.

With nearly 500 years’ experience and 15 generations of Italian heritage, Beretta is a company that has stood the test of time.  With this philosophy, The Beretta Gallery in London wanted to embrace the new cutting-edge technology of digital painting being used by Jan Perkins. As a skilled artist, Jan Perkins has been able to digitally paint exclusively from her private collection of wildlife photographs, composing animal and the landscape in perfect harmony.

Quality without Compromise is the core value of Beretta and Beretta London felt that the manner in which Jan Perkins demonstrated her craft flawlessly was something that I wanted to embrace and share with our International clientele. The United Kingdom has a heritage of country pursuits and the depiction of the animals that live in these varied and wild environments are captured masterfully. With traditional painting techniques, Jan Perkins has applied these using an array of digital devices, a stylus brush and her understanding of the animal and its habitat.

Beretta Gallery in London has a representation of English and European Game Birds and Animals captured in a series of prints which are available to view and purchase at any time.

Holland & Holland in London was my first ever exhibition - and it was a SOLO!

The exhibition was all about ‘Technology and Digital Fine Art painting'.  Creative Director Niels Van Rooyen embraced this new art form and together we filled the entire flagship store on Bruton Street with a collection of African birds and animals. It was the Spring / Summer 2013 Exhibition.

Niels has enjoyed a very successful career in retail merchandising, art directing and clothing design.  He has created exquisite clothing collections for decades. In 2015, I was commissioned to paint a large painting of a Bengal Tiger to adorn the fireplace mantel for the shop.  The painting was created to accompany the ‘India Clothing collection’ that spring / summer.  It was truly a stunning collection of rich silks, gold trims and unique patterns created in collaboration with designers in India. (Ed is wearing the ‘Monkey-Parrot Jacket below a symbol of good luck!)

Here is Niels endorsement:

Holland & Holland had the pleasure of inviting Jan Perkins to exhibit her artwork at our flagship store in Mayfair, London. Our surroundings were a perfect fit for the artwork and they certainly brought a unique quality to the store. Jan Perkin’s was invited to create a Tiger for the Maharaja-inspired clothing collection, which was viewed by eleven royal households in India and greatly admired. Jan Perkin’s digital style is one that requires great care and attention and it was the first time we had featured this unique style of art in our store.
